PROTECTING OUR PLAYERS

For season 2021/22, all clubs are required to purchase Personal Accident Insurance & Public Liability Insurance as a condition of their affiliation with us. This is done during the Affiliation process, through our provider, Sportsguard.

In 2013, The FA introduced a rule making it mandatory for adult eleven-a-side teams to have personal accident insurance in place each season. This was extended in 2017 to additionally cover youth teams. Public liability insurance is also mandatory, and all clubs should carry a limit of indemnity of no less than £10,000,000 for any one occurrence.

The County policies are offered to clubs at a very competitive price and can only be purchased by Devon FA Affiliated Clubs.

If a club still wishes to purchase its own Insurance policies, it can do so, but, a copy of these must be downloaded as proof before affiliation will be accepted.
