Please find below an update on the staffing changes at Devon FA:

We are delighted to announce Ashley Harris has been promoted to Senior Football Development Officer, where he will assist our Football Development Manager in leading our Football Development Team.  Ashley will continue to lead on our Inclusion work, which encompasses disability provision, walking football and our Health & Wellbeing strategy.

As our complex continues to develop and we focus on new areas of our business, we have established a new department named Business Operations.  This new department will be headed up by Dawn Rainbow in her new role of Business Operations Officer.   She will continue to be responsible for finance and HR for the Association.

Dan Eustice and Paul Sharples will be departing the Association at the end of May.  

Dan has been with the Association for nine years, starting as an apprentice working his way up to be our lead for marketing and communications.  During his time as our marcoms lead, we have seen a transformation on our engagement across all our media channels. Dan moves on to a new career at a local organisation. 

Paul, who joined us in 2023, and has made a significant positive impact to our County Cup Programme and the finals held here at Coach Road in his brief time with us.  Unfortunately, due to a change in Paul’s personal circumstances, he has reluctantly made the difficult decision to leave his current position. 

Everyone involved in Devon Football wish Dan and Paul all the best in the future.  However, with them both being qualified referees, we are sure we shall still see them involved with grassroots football in the county.

The recruitment window for both these roles will become live in the week commencing 13^th May 2024.  We will announce information on their replacements and how queries will be handled in the interim in due course. 

We also recently received the news that our former Football Development Officer, Dai Carpenter has been appointed the National Manager for Disability Football & Inclusion at the Football Association of Wales. Dai was instrumental in the development of our disability provision across Devon and a valuable member to the Association. Dai will undoubtedly be a great addition to the FAW, and we wish him all the best in his new role!
