We are delighted to announce we have appointed 3 coaches to lead our U16 Boys Representative Team.

Mike Ebdon, Chris Hogg and Matt Scholes have been appointed as our 3 coaches to take our U16 Boys side forward.

Mike Ebdon – Mike is a UEFA B Licence Coach, who began his coaching journey in 2015. Starting in with his sons grassroots team, whilst completing coaching badges. He then went on to coach at Exeter City Performance Centre before it disbanded. Mike currently leads Exeter City Advanced Development Centre. He also currently coaches Feniton in the Devon Football League.

Chris Hogg – With 20 years of coaching experience, Chris is a UEFA B Licence Coach who has been at Torquay Academy since 2011. In his time there, he has coached every age group from U6’s right through to open aged teams. Chris is the Director of Football at Torquay Academy, and for the last 10 years has run their Post-16 programme.

Matt Scholes – Matt is another UEFA B Licence Coach, who is currently the Head Coach and Programme Manager of Plymouth Argyle Post 16 Course based at Devon FA, Coach Road. He has spent 15+ years working full-time across professional clubs including Torquay United as Foundation Phase Lead Coach within the Academy and Plymouth Argyle Post 16 and Academy. Matt’s coaching journey has also seen him coach in California in the United States of America.

All three of our new coaches are passionate about taking representative football in Devon forward, and creating a good atmosphere for all the players to enjoy their football.

This week we have been hosting our U16 Boys Representative Trials at Coach Road, which has seen over 120 trialists take to the pitch at Devon FA. We would like to thank every player and parent/guardian that has taken their time out to attend the trials days.
