DFL Becomes Accredited League

Devon Football League awarded with England Football Accreditation status

Congratulations to The Devon Football League for being awarded England Football Accreditation League status.

The league was formed in 2019 to provide a feeder league for adult leagues in Devon at step 7 of the National League System. The league currently has 23 male teams playing weekly & in 2021, league committee member David Loder started working with Devon FA to become England Football Accredited.

The England Football Accredited League is an accreditation that sets an operational benchmark for FA sanctioned leagues. This is awarded to leagues which can demonstrate their commitment to provide well organised football in safer, more inclusive environments.

David Loder said “The League are delighted that we have attained England Football Accreditation. This is down to the hard work of our member clubs and the Management Committee in our early years of operation. Our thanks for the support of Devon FA to achieve accreditation at step 7, to help us be sustainable in future seasons”.

The league committee plan to continue supporting their clubs to achieve England Football Accreditation and they continue to work with clubs on the FA’s Respect “We do Positive” campaign with the support of the Devon FA. The league will focus upon improving their online platforms & marketing promotions, to support player retention in the league. The league will also be focusing upon supporting their own workforce to be sustainable in future & ensure strong referee coverage in the league.

We are delighted to be able to recognise and reward the league for all the hard work that has gone into improving and growing our premier league offer in the county, and look forward to working together in the years to come.
