Plymouth Argyle Coaching Conference
We are delighted to support Plymouth Argyle with their first ever Coaching Conference, offering Devon FA Coaches Academy grassroots coaches the opportunity to learn from the best coaching minds at Home Park.
Senior members of the Greens’ staff – from first-team through to Academy – will spend a day sharing their insights and skills with grass roots coaches as part of the Argyle Coaching Conference in May.
On Monday, 2 May, grassroots clubs, coaches and managers across youth and adult football will be invited to Home Park to learn from the current crop of talented Argyle coaches, including the likes of Director of Football Neil Dewsnip, First Team Manager Steven Schumacher, and Assistant Manager Keith Downing – subject to the Pilgrims’ Sky Bet League One commitments.
The event, held in partnership with Cornwall FA and Plymouth Argyle, will focus on sharing aspects of Argyle’s holistic football strategy, which ensures that the youngest Academy age group right the way through to the first team are all operation with the same philosophy and principles.
The Argyle Coaching Conference is another important step in enhancing Argyle’s increased engagement with grass roots coaches in Devon and Cornwall, all designed to support the development of football in the region, and build strong networks between Argyle – the largest professional club in Devon and Cornwall – and local teams.
The event takes place between 10am-3pm, and is free to attend. Spaces are limited, and we encourage prospective attendees to register for the event early to avoid missing out.
Argyle Director of Football Neil Dewsnip said: “This is an exciting development for us in terms of our outreach and network with local grass roots football, which is crucial as we look to support the growth of the game in our region. This is our first attempt to connect the coaching expertise at Argyle with our local coaching community. We want to share our knowledge and experiences with the coaches of Devon and Cornwall to support, inspire and develop the next generation of coaches.”
The event will provide all qualified coaches with accredited CPD from attendance.
The event will be held in person and the event details are as follows:
Date: Monday 2nd May 2022
Time: 10:00am to 3:00pm
