Devon FA is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Foundation Level of the Equality Standard for Sport.

The National Standard for Equality is a nationally recognised framework that assists County FAs with embedding equality at the highest level of their organisation, and communicating and sharing that commitment with its staff and partners. It also provides a framework to review how a County FA is organised around equality in relation to its service delivery, workforce, policies, procedures and legal compliance against the backdrop of The FA's National Game Strategy.

Jen Dixon, Devon County FA Inclusion Advisory Group Chair, commented: “I am delighted that Devon FA has achieved the Foundation Standard.  This was our first key milestone in delivering on our 2021-24 strategy.  Achieving the standard allows us to focus on the actions we need to take to provide an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all through football. It doesn't stop here, we are now working towards the next level of the standard to support us delivering on our equality action plan. Well done and thank you to all who have played there part to achieve the foundation standard." 

Devon FA’s achievement was recognised at the Devon FA 3G Pitch Launch event on Friday 14^th January 2022 with a small presentation.

After achieving this success, Devon County FA will now be working towards achieving the Preliminary Level in 2022.
