Thank You For Affiliating

A big thank you from us to you!

Devon FA would like to thank all clubs & leagues for affiliating ahead of the 2022/23 season. We appreciate that the affiliation process can be time consuming, and the system maintenance has made it difficult for clubs at some times this summer.

We appreciate the time and patience your club and volunteers have taken in affiliating and getting your club/league ready for next season.

Everyone at the Devon FA are looking forward to the new season, and wish all teams the best of luck throughout their campaign.

We caught up with our new Chair of the Board of Directors, and our new Leader of Council below:

John Street, Chair of the Board of Directors said: “The 2021/22 season was one of rebuilding after the difficult times we all faced from the global pandemic.

It proved to be a successful one, and really helped put the footballing community at the heart of the County’s recovery.  Your on-going commitment to the game, ensures DCFA continues to enhance lives through football in Devon.

Thank you for signing up to do it all over again for the forthcoming 2022/23 season, and I wish every team the success they seek.”

Dave Parish, Leader of Council said: “Our game of football has seen many challenges over the past 3 years, which included a complete cessation, and then a return to limited game time. I do not underestimate the challenge of maintaining of our game going forward with people re-evaluating their priorities after the COVID lockdowns and the loss of loved ones.

I would like to personally thank the support very many of our football family gave to their communities during lockdown, I am aware from the accounts I have seen how very much appreciated they were.

The DCFA and your local County FA councillors are here to help you maintain and grow your clubs and diversify our great game for all to enjoy.

I have been privileged to been involved in Football for all my adult life, as a player, manager and running a club and I understand the work, time and commitment involved.

I wish you all the best for the season ahead.”
