Brian served the Devon County FA for many years in particular with his role as the North Devon Referee Instructor has recently passed away at the age of 93.

He served for the County for many years and was able to train hundreds of young referees who helped football run so smoothly in Devon.

He was also a key member of the North Devon Referee Association and was always on hand to give support, observe and encourage referees to enjoy their football with a smile.

Famous for his witty tales and fascinating football incidents, Brian would hold an audience hanging in with his wisdom together with his detail for knowledge and finish with a laugh and a chuckle.

The funeral is taking place at St Peters Church, Tawstock, North Devon. EX31 3HY at 1pm.
