RIP Bob Webster

Devon FA are saddened to hear the news that Dawlish based Bob Webster sadly passed away over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Bob for the last few months has been really unwell and he slipped away peacefully with his wife Flo next to him at his bedside.

Bob for many years was heavily committed to Dawlish Town and was fundamental in their success. He enjoyed with the Club the great times they had in the Western League and also was involved when the team won the Carlsberg Pub Cup twice at Wembley in the early eighties.

In recent years he decided to assist and support the Devon County FA by being co-opted onto the Cups and Representative Committees.

He and his wife Flo enjoyed travelling away with the County FA Representative Teams, where Bob acted as a photographer for us.

Bob thoroughly enjoyed his time wearing his County blazer in whatever he could do to try and cheer of the County players or by helping on the gate at County Cup Finals.

A sad loss to the County.

Our thoughts are with Bob's family and friends in this tough time.

REST IN PEACE - Bob Webster.
