We can confirm the two vacant Council positions have been awarded.
The East area vacancy has been presented to Neil Anthony, who resides in Sidmouth and is the current Secretary of the Devon & Exeter Football League.
After hearing of the news Neil said; “My knowledge of football in the East Devon area can be an asset within my election onto the DCFA.”

Neil also played well over 200 games in the Western League with Exeter City, Bideford, Ilminster Town and Ottery St Mary, as well as local with Sidmouth Town.
Neil was Club Secretary at Sidmouth for over 20 years, he’s been the Competitions Secretary of the Morrison Bell, Grandisson and Golesworth Cups since 2000 and this season just been appointed the General Secretary of the Devon and Exeter Football League.
And, the West area position has been given to Duncan Hedges. Duncan lives in Plymouth and is involved with Hedges Football Club.
Duncan said; “To win the ballot to become a Devon County FA Councillor for the West Devon Area was a bit of a surprised. I can now look forward to the challenges ahead.
“More so in the next 12 to 18 months with the restructuring of the pyramid system which is due to start next season. May I also take this opportunity to thanks the clubs who voted for me.”
Paul Morrison, CEO of Devon FA, has declared “they will play their part in improving football in Devon” and he is certain they’ll “receive a warm welcome from everyone”.
