What is the #WeekofFootball?

Devon FA have put together 14 events, in 7 days, at 1 venue, to create an inclusive weekly programme where all levels, abilities and ages get to be a part of this new and exciting event.

The reason for #WeekofFootball?

Devon FA wanted to celebrate all players from around the County by giving them the opportunity to play football at the County Ground, either in tournament style or for recreational fun.

Who is going to be involved in #WeekofFootball?

Many of the County Officers have put together events which directly hit all levels of football in Devon. From Disability tournaments, to Youth (male + female) competitions, Walking Football, Cup Finals and Adult League Representative competition, all ages, genders and abilities will have the chance to play at Coach Road.

When and at what times will #WeekofFootball commence?

The #WeekofFootball will start on the afternoon of Saturday 19th May with an U9 & U10 Youth Tournament on the County pitch, with all players, staff and parents being invited to stay behind at The Corner Flag to have an FA Cup Final party.

It will end on Friday 25th May in the evening with the Devon Women’s Supplementary County Cup Final between Budleigh Salterton Ladies and Buckland Athletic Ladies at Coach Road – also the last County Cup Final of the season for 2018!

How were teams selected for #WeekofFootball?

Majority of teams were invited by the County to take part in certain events. Fairplay, Charter Standard and Geography played a part in the selection of teams and clubs.
