How It Feels To Reach a County Cup Final:

Alan Wyatt - Buckland Athletic Ladies 2nds Manager: “As a management team we are so proud of reaching the Cup Final. It's so satisfying to watch them reap their rewards from their hard work and commitment and it's great to know the Ladies are so excited to play.”

Daniel Carthew - Budleigh Salterton Ladies Manager: “It feels great to reach the Final of the County Cup, the players are buzzing and the Club is very excited to see the ladies showing what they can do in such an important game. There has been a surge in interest in Women’s football in recent times and everyone at Budleigh Ladies sees this as a perfect opportunity to advertise the Women’s game at grassroots level.”

What Style of Play We're Likely to See:

Alan Wyatt - Buckland Athletic Ladies 2nds Manager: "Our Ladies have developed a lot over this season and we believe the spectators will witness some good football. We have a mixture of maturity and youth in our team and with that a great variety of ability to change the way we play and our style at any given moment.”

Daniel Carthrew - Budleigh Salterton Ladies Manager: “We try to play direct attacking football wherever possible, I want my players to express themselves on the pitch and have fun whilst doing so.”

How They Reached The Final:

Alan Wyatt - Buckland Athletic Ladies 2nds Manager: “It has taken a lot of work and commitment on and off the pitch to reach this Cup Final. We had a tough pre-season with a lot of changes but the attitudes of the players and the want to play football has allowed us to succeed. We are a team - from managers, to players, to parents and volunteers - our ethos is to get on that pitch, play good football and enjoy it. With this; we have had some great results. It really makes all the hard work worthwhile.”

Daniel Carthew - Budleigh Salterton Ladies Manager: “It has taken a lot of hard work to get here which started back in July during pre-season; we worked a lot on fitness which has helped us throughout the season.  We have played some tough teams in the competition and we are looking forward to testing ourselves against Buckland who I know will give us a very good game.”

“I would like to say thanks to the committee at Budleigh Salterton AFC for their continued support throughout the season.”
