This is the one football fans!

One of the biggest, if not, the biggest Cup Final of the season in Devon heads to Coach Road next Sunday 12th August.

It’s the Throgmorton Champions Cup, a hugely fascinating competition as the winners of the four regional senior leagues in Devon face each other in Semi-Final ties to see who’ll get to the final.

This year the Cup was contested for by Elmore, Ashburton, Park United and Mount Gould. However unfortunately, on the week of Park United v Mount Gould, it was the home side who had to withdraw due to Club issues. They were replaced by North Molton who we thank for being great hosts.

On Saturday 21st July, Elmore (Devon & Exeter Football League Champions) defeated Ashburton (South Devon Football League Champions) 5-1 at Ashburton FC, ensuring they booked their place in the Final at Coach Road.

Saturday 28th July, North Molton (North Devon Football League - Replacements) faced Mount Gould (Plymouth & West Devon Football League Champions) at North Molton FC, this game finished 1-0 to Mount Gould.

Therefore, get yourself down to County HQ next Sunday 12th August, KO is at 12pm with gates opening at 11am.
