Grass Pitch Maintenance Fund

This fund is a key part of the Football Foundation’s ‘Power Up Your Grass Pitch’ campaign – an ambition to deliver 20,000 quality grass pitches by 2030. This fund is for grassroots clubs. All applicants must have the required security of tenure and have received a PitchPower Assessment Report.

Grants from this fund are tapered over six years to help clubs enhance or sustain the quality of their grass pitches.

Maintaining grass pitches can be a challenge at all times of year. With ever changing weather scenarios, each season poses its own challenges in terms of ensuring the pitch remains in the best possible state.

The Grounds Management Association (GMA) have put together a collection of resources which can help you prepare your pitches to the highest standard that you can. They have compiled a list of operations to be completed in every month, from the off season to the depths of winter.
