STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO COMPLETING YOUR AFFILIATION ON THE WHOLE GAME SYSTEM

Given the impact of Covid-19 on the grassroots game over the last 12 months, Devon County FA are offering clubs their affiliation for the 2021/22 season at a reduced rate. Clubs will receive their invoice for their affiliation, and then will be refunded £10 for every team they affiliate. For example, if your club have 10 teams, you will be refunded £100 of your affiliation costs.

We recognise this has been a particularly challenging period for our clubs and therefore our priority has been to ensure we make grassroots football next season as affordable and accessible as possible, for everyone.

Please also note, affiliation and insurance are valid until the 30 June 2021 for all clubs who completed their 2020/21 affiliation online via the Whole Game System. As of 1st July, all affiliation and insurance will be invalid, and you will not be permitted to play any form of football until your club have affiliated for the 2021/22 season. Should your club wish to play or train from the 1st July, you will need to have submitted your affiliation application to us, to be covered by insurance.

The deadline for all affiliations to be submitted to the County FA is Friday 9th July 2021.

Our Insurance provider, Sportsguard, will once again be partnering with our County FA to provide our clubs with insurance policies. These do vary, so please read the affiliation information pack to ensure you select the correct insurance policy.

We are also pleased to announce that we will be working with Koolpak to provide further savings to our clubs on essential First Aid equipment from ice bags, first aid kits to defibrillators at discounted prices.

We are encouraging ALL clubs to read through and adopt the below affilated safeguarding football policy. This is essential for youth clubs, but also for open aged clubs who have players under the age of 18, or could have a coach/referee involved in their game who are under the age of 18.

As ever, the team at Devon FA are on hand to support you with your 2021/22 affiliation. Dan Eustice will now be dealing with all Adult & Youth affiliations. If you have used both guides and cannot find an answer, or encounter an error which the guide cannot help you resolve, please email affiliations@devonfa.com

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our leagues & clubs for their co-operation and collaboration in working with us to ensure the safe return of grassroots football in Devon over the past year. The support which these volunteer-run leagues have shown to their clubs has been crucial – and we would not be where we are now without them. So thank you!
