Devon FA Launch Future Coaches Programme
Devon FA are excited to announce that the new Devon FA Future Coaches Programme, in partnership with the Adam Stansfield Foundation.
The programme is designed for young people aged 16 - 18 who are interested in developing their football coaching. The programme includes nine hours of face-to-face learning with FA Coach Developers and, upon attending the three days, will provide a free FA Introduction to Coaching Football course, FA Introduction to First Aid in Football course and FA Safeguarding Children course. You will have everything you need to be supporting or leading a team.
The three face to face days during half terms will bring to life the content from the online FA Introduction to Coaching Football course and discuss challenges which young coaches face when starting out on their coaching journey. The workshops will showcase theoretical principles to help when planning, delivering and evaluating sessions, as well as opportunities to watch FA coach developers and see a variety of best practice session ideas.
The 3 workshop dates are:
- Monday 28th October 2024
- Monday 17th February 2025
- Monday 14th April 2025
All workshops will be 10am - 1pm at Devon County FA, TQ12 1EJ
Cost
There is no cost to being on the Devon FA Future Coaches Programme. You can pay for and complete the three FA courses (Introduction to Coaching Football, Introduction to First Aid in Football and FA Safeguarding Children) and at any point during the 2024/25 season. We would recommend beginning the courses at the start of the season as we will explore the Introduction to Coaching Football course at the workshops. After attending the three face-to-face days, you will be reimbursed in full for the three FA courses.
