Devon FA win national competition

The Devon County Football Association are delighted to announce that the fantastic work that our Devon affiliated League Player Registration officers have undertaken in partnership with County FA staff has led to high recognition from the FA.

The FA have been running a competition amongst its County FAs this season to see who can get the highest percentage of its players registered on the Whole Game System using a valid email address. With a huge 97.5% Devon have come out as clear winners.

This is thanks in large to the tireless work of our League Player Registration officers who, in conjunction with County FA staff, have achieved such fantastic results in winning this prestigious competition. Our leagues are amongst the highest performing in the country in terms of player registration and all of their officers deserve great credit.

The excellent partnership between League Registration Officers and Devon FA staff has been acknowledged and highly commended by the FA. As a result of this, have been invited to come together and form a team to take part in a football match at Wembley Stadium.

The game will take place on the 16th of November against East Riding FA, who finished as runners up in the competition. Due to security concerns at the National Stadium, the game will be played behind closed doors and is strictly limited to invite only. Footage of the game will be available in the aftermath and will be shared amongst the football family in Devon.

Paul Morrison, Chief Executive, commented, “Its been a very busy, hard working summer and pre-season for our league volunteers but they have been tremendous with their dedication and support for their League and County, this special day out enjoying Wembley is a lovely way to say “Thank You!”
