Graddon Vending Womens Supplementary Cup Final Preview

On Friday 29th March, Buckland Athletic Ladies 2nds will take on Axminster Town Ladies at Coach Road, in the Devon Women's Supplementary Cup, sponsored by Graddon Vending. The game kicks-off at 7:15pm, and if you can't make it down to Coach Road, the game will be LIVE on our Devon FA Facebook page.

The game features last year's winners, Buckland Athletic Ladies, who play in the Premier Division of the South West Women's League. They are unbeaten so far this season, and have won 8 of their 9 games, drawing the other game. They will be looking at star striker and top goalscorer this season, Chloe Driscoll to lead them to glory once again. She has scored 14 league goals so far this season, and scored both goals in last year's final when they beat Budleigh Salterton 2-1.

Quarter-Final - Lakeside Athletic Ladies 3-3 Buckland Athletic Ladies (4-5 on Pens)
Semi-Final - Buckland Athletic Ladies 3-0 Ottery St Mary Ladies

Axminster Town Ladies play in Division 1 of the Devon Women's League, however, have had some great results in this season's Women's Supplementary Cup. They beat Division 1 leaders and last year's runners up - Budleigh Salterton Ladies on the way to the final, as well as beating 3rd placed Activate Ladies from the Premier Division. Axminster's manager, Martin Keightley will be dreaming of lifting the trophy on Friday evening. He will be hoping his sides attacking style of play can unlock the Buckland defence and be the difference between them and their opponents.
