Edenvale Turf Ltd Devon St Lukes Cup Final Preview

Preview of tonight's Devon St Luke's Challenge Cup Final between Plymouth Parkway and Exeter City

On Monday 29th April, Plymouth Parkway will take on Exeter City, in the Devon St Luke’s Challenge Cup Final, sponsored by Edenvale Turf Ltd. The game kicks-off at 7:30pm, and if you can't make it down to Coach Road, the game will be LIVE on our Devon FA Facebook page.

The game features Plymouth Parkway, who play in the Toolstation Western Football League – Premier Division. They had a terrific league campaign, finishing 2nd in their league on 93 points. They narrowly missed out on the title after Willand Rovers finished 2 points above them. They won a staggering 30 of their 38 games, drawing 3 and losing just 5. This however is not the last game of their season, they still have two pieces of silverware to play for. They also face Willand Rovers in the Les Phillips Cup Final, on Bank Holiday Monday (6th May) – at Sherborne Town in Dorset. Parkway know where the back of the net is, they’ve scored an incredible 137 goals this season, and are also unbeaten in their last 23 games, a run that stretches back to the start of this year. From those 23 unbeaten games, they have won 20 of them. They will be hoping to retain the St Luke’s Cup, which they won last year when beating Bideford AFC 4-1 in the final. We wish them the best of luck for tonight’s game and for the Les Phillips Cup Final.

Semi-Final - Cullompton Rangers 3-4 Plymouth Parkway

Exeter City will be represented this evening by their Under 23’s team. This will be a combination of players from their Under 23’s team and their Under 18’s side, who play in the Youth Alliance League as well as the FA Youth Cup. The first team are enjoying a good season in Sky Bet League Two, and currently sit in the final play-off spot with one game remaining. They will be looking to cement this spot in their last game of the season against Forest Green Rovers. The Under 23’s enjoyed a good run in this season’s Checkatrade Trophy, as they finished top of their group which contained Bristol Rovers, Yeovil Town and West Ham United U21’s. They were unfortunately knocked out in the 2nd Round against Peterborough United. Exeter City U18’s have endured a tough season in the Youth Alliance League, winning just one of their 10 league games, as they sit in 9th place in the table. Their cup run however, has been outstanding. The Under 18’s have reached the EFL Youth Alliance Cup Final which is being played on Tuesday 30th April at St James Park, where they will face Wigan. We wish them the best of luck for tonight’s game and the EFL Youth Alliance Cup Final.
