Firewatch Devon Senior Cup - Preview

Kentisbeare face The Windmill on Thursday evening at Coach Road

On Thursday 18th April, Kentisbeare will take on The Windmill at Coach Road, in the Devon Senior Cup Final, sponsored by Firewatch. The game kicks-off at 7:15pm, and if you can't make it down to Coach Road, the game will be LIVE on our Devon FA Facebook page.

The game features Kentisbeare, who play in Division 1 of the Devon & Exeter Football League. They currently sit 3rd in their league table, and will be looking to get their first piece of silverware this season. Since re-joining the DEFL Leagues in Div 8 after the one year break the side has been promoted season on season with the 1st team now in Division 1. During the period they have also restarted a second team, who play in Division 6. All eyes will be on Kentisbeare striker, Jake Searle, who is their top goalscorer this season with 21 goals in 22 games.

The Windmill Reserves play in Division 1 of the Plymouth & West Devon Football League. They are leading their division currently, with 15 wins from 17 games. They look set to win the Division 1 title in Plymouth, and will be looking to win the Firewatch Devon Senior Cup to potentially go alongside their league title. The Windmill Reserves were formed in 2017 by manager Lee France and ex-assistant manager Nigel Davies. In their first season together they went on to win The Marshall Motors Challenge Bowl and finish Runners-Up in the Plymouth and Devon Division 3 League. At the opposite end to Kentisbeare’s Jake Searle, The Windmill have prolific stiker, Vincent Wright-Harper-Inniss. With 20 goals in his 16 appearances this season, he will be looking to fire his side to glory and take the Senior Cup back to Plymouth.
