Every season, Devon FA find themselves a Devon based charity to help raise funds and awareness during events and matches at County HQ.

For the 2017/18 season Living Options Devon was the charity partner of our choice.

Every season, we have many events at County HQ including matches, tournaments, competitions, fundraisers, cup finals and much more, this is too raise as much money as we can to help maintain the great work Living Options Devon do.

Living Options Devon (LOD) is a user-led charity championing needs and rights, and providing vital support so people with disabilities and Deaf people (who use British Sign Language (BSL) are empowered to live the life they choose.

Living Options Devon aims to provide those who need our help with the tools and the support they require to overcome barriers such as; discrimination; access issues; social isolation; communication barriers and lack of opportunities; to live the lives they want: to enjoy independence; gain employment; to know their rights and to find the courage to voice those rights.

A number of events, including a donation from every spectator at our 2018 County Cup Finals, the 2018 ‘Week of Football’ and all other fundraising that has taken place this season, along with the raffle at the Devon FA Football Awards, we are delighted to announce that we have raised £2007 for Living Options Devon.

CEO of Living Options Devon, Diana Crump, is overjoyed with the year with Devon FA; “We were really delighted to be selected as Devon FA's charity of the year. This has proved to be extremely beneficial to Living Options Devon.

“During the year we launched our Deaf Volunteers in Sport project which is focused on enabling Deaf people to become more active despite the communication barriers often faced by the Deaf community.

“Devon FA have been incredibly supportive with this project and have helped encourage Deaf people to get involved in sport. We also want to thank Devon FA for promoting us widely across their social media channels and raising vital funds for the charity.”

It’s been a great year working with Living Options Devon and we hope that the money raised will go some way to help the superb local charity.
