GDPR Data Protection Changes

Important information regarding new Data Protection Laws in May 2018.

From the 25th May 2018, there’ll be a new data protection law enforced. The GDPR will replace the Data Protection Act 1998 in its entirety and will regulate the processing of personal data in the UK.

This will make changes to Leagues and Clubs, not just in the County, but nationally.

Leagues, teams, clubs and Devon FA rely on Whole Game System (WGS), Full-Time and other systems which will hold personal data, therefore The FA will work with GDPR to ensure the data used will meet the requirements of the new data protection act.

This statement is to make aware to clubs and leagues that they’ll be receiving personal emails about this and how it may affect the clubs/leagues data moving forward.

Along with more information on this, clubs and leagues will also obtain General Data Protection FAQ’s documents, with all the relevant information and answers they need.

In association with Muckle LLP, The FA has also created bite sized information for grassroots clubs to gain more facts and figures – you can find this by clicking here.
