Appledore although trailing 3 - 1 scored in the 90th minute and 93rd minutes to force the match into extra time and then netted two more to snatch away the trophy which by then had the marines blue ribbons attached ready for the presentation.
The Marines had 2 early chances but a Danny Harris free kick went wide of a post and the Appledore keeper Nicky Spry had to punch away another Marine effort.
Appledore then attacked with Matt Downing making three telling runs on the left, the first produced a cross which failed to get a connection, his second saw a shot go wide of the far post but he made amends after 22 minutes with the third when he cut in to fire low past the Marines keeper James Ashford Brown.
In between James Bright had a shot go just over, as shot blocked by a defender and Sean Downing with a bicycle kick went close.
The Marines equalised after 36 minutes after good work out on the left between Dan Boere and Stuart Morgan set up Shea Saundersto head home the equaliser and on the stroke of half time Boere shot wide from a good opportunity.
On 49 minutes Richard Hope for The Marines had a shot saved by keeper Spry who also saved a deflected Harris shot and Boere headed over.
In the 58th minute Appledore's Adam Copp crossed to Steve Skinner but his shot was blocked by Ashford-Brown and an accelerated run by Sean Downing set up Shaun Copp but he shot over from a useful opportunity.
On 65 minutes the Marines went ahead when Stuart Morgan broke through to find Hope to score from close range, three minutes later the Appledore keeper Spry cam running out to deny Saunders but in the 70th Minute it was 3 - 1 for the Marines when dave Carns headed a cross home from Harris.
On 73 minutes Appledore's James Rees had a 30 yard free kick punched away by Ashford - Brown.
The Marines then created 3 chances, on 74 minutes Boere fired a loose ball, keeper Spry then came running out to stop Saunders and then saved a 25 yards shot from Duchenski.
In the 90th minute Appledore pulled a goal back when a 30 yard free kick by James Rees went in at the top far corner of the net.
The Marines then had a chance to go further ahead but a shot on the run from an oblique anglebu Boere hit the side netting.
In time added Appledore managed to conjure up a superb equaliser to force extra time when Sean Downing put substitute Marc Bettis through to makie 3 - 3.
On 99 minutes the Marines Hope struck the Appledore bar and the rebound was headed over.
The game then swung dramtically in four crazy minutes as Appledore launched a stirring fight back with Bettis scoring in the 100th and 114th minute to complete his hat - trick and win the cup for Appledore.
