Devon defeated Gloucestershire by 2 - 0 but for the first 15 minutres of this match both sides produced some attractive approach play but failed to create and clear cut chances.
On 16 minutes the Devon keeper Jade Tregale (Newquay) was called upon to bring off a stunning save by going full length to palm a fierce 25 yard shot from Gloucesteshire's Charlie Cooney (Forest Green Rovers).
A minute later Gloucestershire had another good opportunity nut Grace Bunker's (Downend Flyers).
On 20 minutes Devon were on the attack and a 20 yard shot by Katie Middleton (Bristol Academy) was saved by the Gloucestershire goalkeeper Zoe Hodgson (Downend Flyers).
A minute later at the other end Gloucestershire gained a free kick from a useful position but Lorea Jarobe (Cheltenham) shot straight a Tregale.
After 29 minutes Devon took the lead when a 20 yard shot be Tash Knapman (Totnes & Dartington) could only be finger tipped into the net by the Glouscestershire keeper Hodgson.
Five minutes later and Devon doubled their lead as Sophie Drake (Plymouth Argyle) acclerated along the line and whipped ina croos and Aoife Ahearne (Plymouth Argyle) nodded in.
On the stroke of half time Devon's Knapman had two close range point blank shots saved in succession by keeper Hodgson.
the second half started like the first with both sides playing some fluent passing football with both defences on top and it was not until the 67th minute that a chance was created. It fell to Devon but Knapman broke through only to se her shot stopped by the outstretched foot of Hodgson.
On 70 minutesa speculative long shot by Gloucestershire Charlotte King (Forest Green Rovers) flew just over the Devon crossbar.
A chance late on fell to Devon's Middleton but her long range shot was saved.
