Devon were first on the attack forcing a corner in the 2nd minute but Ashley Smalls kick was well saved by the Gloucestershire keeper.
Six minutes later Devon keeper Moore saved well from Jack Parker, Moore then produced an even better save to keep out Ashley Mcgrane.
Devon then had a spell of pressure, Clatworthy again proving equal to everything that was thrown at him as he saved from Small and Joe Byrne.
The resitance was broken though when Sam Box slid a wonderful pass into the bath of Scott Baxter who finished clinically to give Devon a 1 - 0 lead after 20 minutes.
Devon had the lead for barely 5 minutes though as Ashley Knight of Gloucestershire broke through the defence to fire low pas Devon keeper Moore.
Josh French had a chance to restore Devon's lead on the half hour but fired wide from close range.
Devon continued to press and Box was unlucky not too score as Clatworthy produced andother great save.
However it was Gloucestershire who would go in at the break with the lead following to quick fire goals in the 39th and 43rd minute, Billy Mitchell gave Gloucestershire the lead before Ryan Batten scored a fine individual goal.
Devon put Gloucestershire under pressure at the start of the 2nd half and went close through Tom Dunlop.
Gloucestershire hit straight back were unluck not to increase their lead when Elliot Saunder struck the cross bar.
Gloucestershire were not to be denied a 4th goal though and on 74 minutes keeper Moore was helpless to prevent a piledrive from Knight flying into the Devon net.
To their credit though, the Devon lads never gave up and snathed a deserved consolation in the 88th minute through Sam Box.
