THE ERREA TOURNAMENT EXECUTIVE announced today that DAY ADMISSION TICKETS for the Tournament go on sale as promised, from WEDNESDAY 1ST JULY 2009.
Organisers confirmed their intention to offer Tickets on-line for pre-purchase so as to enable both local and travelling supporters to avoid any un-necessary match-day delays queuing for ticket purchase, or for ground admission.With no less than TWELVE (12) Preliminary Games being staged before the Semi-finals and Final, the decision has been taken to fix the price for ALL preliminary matches at £5.00 PER TICKET. This Ticket admits ONE ADULT and 1 Child to the game.
And in an outstanding and credit-busting initiative, the DAY ADMISSION TICKETS are now valid for ALL of the games played on the DAY of validity. As matches are currently scheduled, there is a choice of buying Tickets for either the MONDAY, WEDNESDAY or FRIDAY games; supporters can choose any of the FOUR games played that day and select which grounds to head for. In most cases, that means at least TWO games are within a short travelling distance of each other and with staggered kick-off times.
TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR MIKE BRADSHAW explained: We live in tough times and realistically there is a limit as to how much people want to spend or can afford to spend, so far as entertainment is concerned. What we feel sure we have done is to price the games very realistically and offer the widest choice to everyone. The payback is hopefully good crowds, good atmosphere and a feel-good factor to the whole Tournament.
What I want everyone to understand is that we have FIVE HOST grounds who have done tremendous pre-season preparation and they now deserve to see the supporters going through the gates and spending a few pounds for their benefit; we are hugely grateful to the Match Sponsors whose contributions will help these local Clubs enter the new season with some extra money to face the season ahead .An added bonus will be the people who then go on to watch games locally next season, having enjoyed what they have seen at each ground.
A final reminder to anyone purchasing the DAY ADMISSION TICKET; KEEP THE TICKET because you will need to show it at every game you travel on to that same day.
