Played at Dawlish Town F.C on Wednesday 30th April
This match swung dramatically in the second half when Pinhoe Spartans Youth were losing 1 - 0 at the break but were suddenly roused into response scoring 5 goals to beat Railway Beacon Youth 5 - 1.
Pinhoe were unlucky not to score in the first minute when the Railway Beacon keeper was unable to gather a cross from the left and it required instantaneous reaction from defender Simon Libby to clear off the line as Pinhoe's Danny Pym was about to strike.
Railway Beacon then took control of the first half as their forward Joshua Notman broke away on the left but his hard low cross was well intercepted by Pinhoe's Nial Powell.
After 10 minutes Railwat Beacon took the lead when a cross by Adam Parker landed at the feet of Notman and the striker made no mistake firing a 20 yard first time shot into the roof of the net.
Pinhoe then advanced and the Railway keeper Bernan had to come running out and bravely dive at the feet of the lively Pinhoe forward David Hood.
Next Railway were again on the attack and the Pinhoe keepr Thomas Rowehad to jump high to save from Notman and Parker headed against the Pinhoe crossbar.
On 36 minutes Pinhoe's Cameron Kelly had a chance to score but his shot was plucked from under the bar by the Railway keeper bernan.
After the break in the 44th minute Pinhoe equalised when a cross by Bradley Lewis was headed into the roof of the net by striker Hood.
Three minutes later Pinhoe's Pym set up Hood to score his second with a low shot into the net.
Pinhoe continued and Hood skillfully waltzed around four defenders only too see his shot saved by Railway keeper Bernan, who also saved a header from Pinhoe's Kelly.
After 65 minutes Hood completed his hat-trick for Pinhoe again showing 3 defenders a clean pair of heels before his shot struck a post and rebounded into the net.
Pinhoe keeper Rowe was teiced called upon in the 72nd and 78th minutes to deny Railway's Notman from scoring.
With full time approaching, Pinhoe's Kelly scored a memorbale goal with a ferocious 30 yard blockbuster of a shot which hit the roof of the Railway net. The Railway keeper tried desperately to save the shot but fell arkwardly and had to be taken to hospital by ambulance.
In the 5th minute of time added on Hood netted his fouth and Pinhoe's fifthfrom close range to secure a well earned victory.
After the match Jill Mann the wife of the sponsor of the competition Roger Mann managing director of Wotton Printers assisted the Devon F.A representative Chris Davey presented the Man of the Match award to Pinhoe's David Hood and the cup to a jubilant Pinhoe Spartans Youth team
