Juventus Youth League launch
Player ID Registration Scheme

The Devon County FA are delighted to announce that The Juventus Youth Football League will be became the first affiliated league in East Devon to start using the Devon FA’s Player ID Scheme.

The scheme called “Passport to Youth Football “ means that all players in the Juventus League will have to have available their ID Player Registration Card when they want to play football in the Juventus League.

It is hoped that the scheme will reduce cheating and also make it a safer environment for the players to enjoy their football. Before each game both teams will exchange ID cards to avoid disputes, players playing in the wrong age group and also cheating. A “No Card, No Game” policy is the strength of the scheme.

Juventus League Registration Secretary, Marian Woolridge, said that it was great to see all the hard work of the clubs and the league come together and we have now finally delivered a very robust scheme that will be a great tool for football in Devon and also a card that players will enjoy the benefits of.

The cards will be given out at Exeter City Football Club on Monday 17th November where an officer of each club collected and signed for the cards.

The cards take effect on weekend of Saturday/Sunday 22nd & 23rd November where clubs will start to exchange information prior to matches.

The DCFA are hopeful that the cards will prove to be a real asset for the players in that they can obtain special offers and gifts from the Associations key sponsors. Devon’s big three clubs, Torquay, Plymouth and Exeter have given the scheme their backing and will allowing players to purchase cheaper Match Day tickets as well as donating free tickets to our lucky month draw winners.

Pro Direct Soccer, one of the biggest on-line sport retailers are also a major backer of the scheme. Managing Director Adrian Lake advised that his company were delighted to be part of a unique scheme that should help and improve football in Devon. “We were approached by the DCFA and can now see that many players will enjoy the ideas we have, to make football even more enjoyable”.
