The schools that reached the finals day deserve huge congratulations on their achievements after coming through some tough fixtures in tough weather conditions throughout the season. The competition was again run at central venues to determine winners throughout school sports partnerships. These school sports partnership winners then contested in regional finals, to determine who would represent that region at the county finals day.
The finals day undertook a new format this season, instead of the traditional semi-final and final knockout, a round robin format was played; this ensured all teams had an opportunity to play each other. Games had 5 points awarded for a win, 3 points awarded for a score draw, 1 point for a no score draw and 0 points for a loss.
