The Centre trains from October until May each season, on Friday evenings from 7.30-9.00pm at South Dartmoor Community College in Ashburton. As well as a detailed 20 week coaching programme, players at the Centre also benefit from specialist goalkeeping coaching as well as receiving physio support. The Centre aims to identify players for the England national impairment specific squads including the Cerebral Palsy Squad, Deaf Squad, Visually Impaired Squad, Learning Disabilities Squad, and the Amputee Squad; and in 2009/10 three players from Devon were selected to an England national squad.
The centre is always interested in potential new players, and nominations for the coming season are very much welcome. A player nomination form is available for download under 'Related Documents'.
Centre of Excellence 2010/11 Season
Trials are shortly starting to select the U18 and U14 squads for the 2010/11 season. Please see the details below:
