Active Devon Coach Bursary
Active Devon has launched a Coach Bursary to support the development of sports coaches working with young people in Devon. This initiative is part of the Active Coaches programme and is made possible in partnership with Devon County Council Olympic and Paralympic Legacy programme and Sport England.
Active Devon is a countywide partnership for physical activity and sport and is one of 49 county partnerships supported by Sport England. Active Devon comprises a diverse range of organisations involved in or with physical activity and sport all committed to achieving their vision - Getting everyone in Devon active for life through local community based opportunities and coordinated partnerships.

Over the next 3 years Active Devon aims to support over 500 coaches gaining the Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. The Coach Bursary has been launched to achieve this aim and bursaries of up to 50% of the course fee will be available to candidates. This is a maximum of £100 for Level 1, £150 for Level 2 and £500 for Level 3. NB Bursaries are not available for FA Youth Award Modules.
Applications to receive bursary funding will be made through Devon FA and passed to Active Devon to be assessed by a panel of representatives from Active Devon and Devon County Council against specified criteria – see document under 'Related Documents'
