The course can also act as a refresher for Level 1 coaches or a stepping stone to qualified teachers and coaches who wish to progress to The FA Youth Award, Module 1 ‘Developing the Environment’ or for Level 1 coaches to progress to the 1st4 Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football. Attendance at this course is also a new criteria for Charter Standard Clubs from July 2010 to retain their existing status, and new clubs with effect from July 2009.
The Age Appropriate Coaching - Introductory Module is a new qualification run by FA regional staff and will give candidates the most up to date coaching tools in working with arguably the most important age group in football.
It will include practical sessions as well as theory and group discussions.
