This course provides you with an opportunity to develop an awareness of both the practical and theoretical aspects of coaching young players in the 5-11 age group.
The knowledge gained from this Introductory Module will enable you to develop an understanding of the role of the football coach in working with young children aged 5-11.
The Module has been developed by FA Learning using expertise from a variety of FA staff and experienced coaches. The role of a football coach is a rewarding and responsible one. Players and clubs have high expectations of a coach's conduct and behaviour that must be understood and supported by everybody.
This course will endeavour to build on your football coaching knowledge to date and act as a stepping stone to the FA Youth Award Module 1 - Developing the Environment - and the 1st4 Sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football.
The course can also provide a useful refresher option for those holding a current 1st4 Sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football.
This is a 6 hour course open to coaches of at least 16 years of age.
